Dear Parents and Carers,
In my recent letter, where I let you know about Mrs Fidock’s relocation to the South-West this summer, I promised to update you as soon as we had made an appointment of a new Principal at Paddock Wood Primary. Following a national recruitment search and selection process which completed this week, the successful candidate is Mrs Alice Early.
This will be Mrs Early’s third headship, the last one being at Kings Hill Primary. The latest Ofsted report for Kings Hill published in February 2023 states that, “Pupils thrive at this exceptionally well-led school”. We are delighted to have appointed such an experienced and successful new Principal. Mrs Early will take up her post on 1st September 2023 and will begin a careful period of transition with Mrs Fidock starting almost straight away.
Mrs Early intends to write to parents herself soon setting out some of her plans for the year ahead. Meanwhile, commenting on her new appointment, she said:
“I am delighted to be taking up the role of Principal at Paddock Wood Primary Academy. I am excited to join such a forward thinking and vibrant school at the heart of the Paddock Wood community. It will be a privilege to continue to lead the school forward with such dedicated staff, wonderful children and supportive families. I am looking forward to building on the existing successes led by Mrs Fidock and continuing to develop Paddock Wood Primary Academy to ensure that every child receives an exceptional education and develops as a valued individual.”
This appointment ensures significant confidence is maintained in the leadership at Paddock Wood Primary going forward for parents, staff and pupils. We can be sure that Mrs Early will build upon the excellent work of Mrs Fidock and her very capable team to ensure that the academy continues to thrive.
