Appointment of a new Principal for Marden Primary Academy.

I promised I would write to you with news once we had appointed a new Principal for Marden Primary. Following a national recruitment search and full selection process this week I am delighted to confirm that the successful candidate is Mrs Hannah Penning who will start on 1st September.

Mrs Penning is an experienced senior leader and has already held the position of Vice Principal in two Leigh Academies Trust primaries. She has a strong understanding of how the Trust operates which means that the transition with Mr Dosad should be seamless for pupils, parents and staff.

Commenting on her appointment, Mrs Penning said:

“I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Principal of Marden Primary Academy and I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you in the near future. I feel extremely privileged to have been chosen to lead a school with such wonderful children and dedicated staff.”

Over the course of next half-term, Mrs Penning will undertake a full induction programme so that she is well prepared for her new role. The future of Marden is very bright indeed, following on from our recent very successful Ofsted inspection and news about expansion and upgraded facilities. Mrs Penning looks forward to writing to you herself in due course to set out her plans for the year ahead.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Beamish

Chief Executive
