It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the final report from our 2-day Ofsted inspection on 17 and 18 January 2023 has been received today. A copy of the report is available to view below, and will be published on the official Ofsted report website 8 working days from today.
The academy has been judged to be ‘Good’ overall, and is considered to be a “safe”, “calm and orderly” place where students with SEND are “fully included” in academy life.
I am delighted that the hard work undertaken by all staff at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy and Leigh Academies Trust has been recognised, acknowledging we are “ambitious” for our students, including those with SEND, with our curriculum “matching” and sometimes “exceeding” national expectations. His Majesty’s Inspectors complimented our leadership team on their “understanding of the academy’s strengths and priorities for development”, recognising the academy’s high standards and expectations, cultural diversity and effective systems as well as the “reflective” and driven nature of leaders/governors, the commitment of our students and the impact of the quality of education provided.
This is an excellent report, particularly at a time when the benchmark for ‘Good’ is at the highest level it has ever been. The Ofsted inspection was thorough, robust and professionally rigorous; the leadership team and I were open and transparent around all aspects of life at the academy with much evidence to support the inspection process.
We are very proud of this outcome and we know that the committed staff body at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy will not lose momentum and we look forward to its continued growth and celebrated successes.
