Dear parents and carers
RE: appointment of a new Principal for Oaks Primary Academy.
Some of you may already be aware that Mr Moore has been appointed to a new Principal position in Leigh Academies Trust from September 2024, leading one of our largest primary academies. Mr Moore has made a remarkable contribution to Oaks. Whilst I know you will be very sad to learn that he is moving on, you will no doubt want to celebrate his deserved promotion to this new role.
The Trust is very fortunate to have lots of excellent leaders amongst its ranks. This has enabled us to appoint a very high quality candidate to replace Mr Moore from September. From this date, Mr Luke Coulson will take over as Principal at Oaks, ably supported by our superb team of staff.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Coulson said:
“I feel incredibly privileged to have been appointed Principal of Oaks Primary Academy from September 2024. I am looking forward to continuing its remarkable success. I am committed to working alongside our pupils, the dedicated staff team and yourselves as parents, to ensure that everyone in our academy continues to achieve what they are truly capable of. The pupils of Oaks have proven their potential year on year and I am resolute in continuing to shape an academy that cultivates their aspirations, recognises and celebrates their successes, and empowers them for the future.
Mr Moore’s leadership has enabled Oaks to go from strength to strength and I will continue on this trajectory from September. This is a new chapter in the academy’s journey and I am excited to be working with you. I know that together, we can continue to provide all pupils with an exceptional education.”
Oaks is already one of the very best primaries in Kent. It is judged outstanding by Ofsted in every category and year after year achieves exceptional academic outcomes. Mr Moore has made an enormous contribution to Oaks’ success and I know that Mr Coulson is looking forward to continuing that very positive legacy. He intends to write to you himself in due course and to meet as many of you as possible face-to-face.
Thank you for your continuing support. It is very much appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Simon Beamish | Chief Executive
