On Friday, 24th November, representatives from LAT and EKCST met with senior officers and politicians from KCC and Swale Borough Council along with representatives from primary schools across Sheppey to discuss the proposed two new schools for the Island.
Simon Beamish (LAT) and Tammy Mitchell (EKCST) outlined their respective visions for each of their new schools and took questions from attendees that were representative of the views of their constituents and communities.
Simon Beamish said: “Friday’s talks were an important step in ensuring that the vision for Sheppey’s education is a shared one, not just between LAT and EKCST, but also our wider education partners on the Island.  The support of local schools and councillors is vital for this transformation to be successful”.
