We are delighted to share with you the outcome of the recent Ofsted inspection at Longfield Academy. The overall grading of the inspection is “Good” with an “Outstanding” Sixth Form. The inspectors praised that “this inclusive school has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour”, and highlighted the quality of provision provided, particularly for children with SEND.

Inspectors who visited the academy saw first hand that “vigilant, well-trained staff make sure that pupils are safe”, and that through our pastoral systems “pupils are known as individuals and their well-being is a high priority”. The report also goes on to highlight that the academy “provides pupils with strong pastoral support, including support for pupils’ mental health”. We are delighted that the inspectors recognised the care that staff at Longfield Academy have for our students, and the dedication to their overall wellbeing.

The report also identifies that behaviour at the academy is “calm and orderly”, where our expectations are “very high”. The inspectors praised our post-16 students for being “exceptionally mature”, with the student body being recognised as “polite and courteous”.

We invite you to read the full report for yourself, and join Principal, Felix Donkor in celebrating the success of Longfield Academy’s entire community in this achievement.
