Leigh Academies Trust Remembrance Day 2025

At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, our students and staff across Leigh Academies Trust united in solemn remembrance.

We fell silent at 11:00 am to commemorate the armistice that ended the First World War on November 11, 1918. More broadly, we pause to profoundly remember and honour all those whose lives have been sacrificed, and those who have served, in conflicts since that time. Their courage and dedication ensure the freedoms we cherish today.

We are incredibly proud to share a collection of photographs showcasing the thoughtful and heartfelt ways our students have participated this year. From creating beautiful handcrafted poppies to hosting meaningful services, sometimes with the honour of welcoming special guests who have fought for our Country, our students have demonstrated deep respect and understanding.
