RE: Appointment of a new Principal for Oaks Primary Academy.
I promised in my last letter that I would update you as soon as possible about our efforts to find a new Principal at Oaks. Following interviews which took place yesterday after a national recruitment search, I have pleasure in confirming that Tom Moore (currently Vice Principal) has been appointed as the new Principal of Oaks Primary Academy from January 2022 when Mrs Tipple takes up her new promotion within Leigh Academies Trust (LAT) full-time after five very successful years in charge of Oaks.
This is a well-deserved appointment for Mr Moore who has already established himself as a very strong LAT leader. This decision follows on from Oaks being accredited as an International Baccalaureate World School recently and having a very positive Ofsted inspection. We look forward to sharing the Ofsted report with you shortly. I am sure that you will join me in congratulating Mr Moore on his appointment.
This decision ensures very high levels of continuity for pupils, staff and parents. Our next step is to appoint a new Vice Principal for Oaks to take over from Mr Moore’s current role. He will update you about that in due course. Mr Moore will now work closely with Mrs Tipple to ensure a smooth transition which will enable Oaks to carry on going from strength to strength.
