Elmer is coming to Maidstone and Tree Tops Primary Academy are involved!

Elmer the elephant
From 19 June – 22 August 2021 a herd of fabulously colourful and unique elephants will take you on a trail around the beautiful County town of Maidstone.

This mass-participation family event will feature 50 large and 31 small sculptures. Each large sculpture will feature a unique design by some amazing artists, both well-known and emerging, while the small Elmers have been designed and painted by local schools and community groups.

Tree Tops Primary Academy went onto a fund raising frenzy during 2019 to raise the funds we needed to have our very own elephant in the exhibition. The event was cancelled last year due to Covid so we have been waiting patiently to announce this exciting news.

At the end of the summer each of the large Elmer’s will be auctioned to raise funds for Heart of Kent Hospice and Tree Tops will have a brand new member of our community. We would like to introduce you to Lavender who will be on permanent display in our school from September 2021.

We have also learned this week that Lavender and the smaller elephants will be displayed in the Mall Shopping centre over the summer, please make sure you pop by.
