Students, staff and governors of academies within Leigh Academies Trust, together with members of the Royal British Legion, the Stationers’ Livery Company and other distinguished guests came together this morning to remember the fallen service men and women of the two World Wars and the 12,000 killed or injured since 1945.
Students across the Trust’s academies gave moving performances, observed a two-minute silence and laid wreaths to commemorate the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany at 11am on 11 November, 1918.
