Year 10 Leigh Aspire students visit The Houses of Parliament

On Tuesday 14th May, eighteen students from Longfield, Mascalls, Strood and Wilmington Academies participated in a trip to The Houses of Parliament.

During this transformative experience, students were given a guided tour of The Palace Westminster; they got to sit in The House of Lords; and were able to view and listen to a live debate in The House of Commons.

Students also took part in a workshop, which taught them about how manifestos are created and the voting and election process.

All students thoroughly enjoyed the visit and commented on what an amazing experience it was!
