On Thursday 23rd May, a small group of students at The Maths School met their mentors for the first time. Running alongside the existing mentoring facilitated by Governor Mr Brightman, the group of year 12 students began their journey by meeting their mentors who are experienced mentors at Leigh Academies Trust. Within the hour long session, they talked about themselves, learnt about their mentors business backgrounds and experience and completed an ice-breaker activity entitled “Getting to Know you”.
These students will meet with their mentors who are experts in HR and business over the next year on a one to one and group basis to help hone their thoughts for the journey after school. We look forward to hearing their progress.
