Molehill Primary Academy celebrates National Poetry Day

On Wednesday 27th September renowned poet Harry Baker visited Molehill Primary Academy in Maidstone, as part of their celebrations for National Poetry Day.

Harry, Grand Slam Poetry Champion, has twice delivered 5-star Edinburgh Fringe festival performances and is a TED speaker, broke from his UK tour to give an assembly where he shared his childhood love for words and language. Excited pupils and staff were then treated to a recitation of some of Harry’s most beloved poems, including Dinosaur Love and Falafelloeffel.

Throughout the morning, children in years 5 and 6 attended poetry workshops led by Harry and produced some inspired poetry of their own. It was an incredible privilege to work with Harry.
