Longfield Academy students take on the ‘beast of the east’ skiiing in Killington, USA

During the Easter half term 47 students from Longfield Academy visited the United States of America to take on the ‘beast of the east’ skiing in Killington.

The group were very much beginners, with 39 students having never skied before, save for their dry slope lessons here in Kent. Within two days, all of the students had left the beginners’ slopes and were making their way around the many runs and trails that Killington had to offer.

After five days the group left Killington for New York, where they took in the views from the top of the Empire State building, jumped on the City Line cruise boat to the Statue of Liberty and strolled through Central Park.

All of the students were a credit to their parents and Longfield Academy throughout the trip.
