Lorraine Hollingworth, Principal of Hartley Primary Academy, was invited to a meeting of the Leigh Academies Trust Board on 18 March 2016 to tell the story of Hartley’s journey to ‘outstanding in all categories’ and to answer Directors’ questions.
The Ofsted judgement was delivered following an inspection on 9 and 10 March 2016. Academy and Trust staff, pupils, parents and governors all turned out to provide support for the Academy during the big event and we are very grateful to them all.
The Chair and Directors of the Board congratulated Mrs Hollingworth and her team on their phenomenal achievement and presented her with a beautiful cut-glass bowl, inscribed to commemorate her success.
Mrs Hollingworth retired on 24 March 2016 after almost ten years as Hartley’s Principal. The Ofsted judgement could hardly have been more timely, the crowning achievement of a glittering career in education. The entire Leigh Academies Trust family joins together in congratulating Mrs Hollingworth on this wonderful news and in wishing her a long, happy and fulfilling retirement.
